Copley Square Farmers Market, 227-230 Dartmouth St. | Tuesdays + Fridays | 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

  • Features: Boston’s biggest farmers market hosts more than 30 local vendors and takes place right across the street from Copley Square.
  • Getting there: Near the Green Line Copley stop and the Orange Line Back Bay station

Boston Public Market Farmers Market, The Rose Kennedy Greenway, Milk and India streets | Thursdays | 2-6 p.m.

  • Features: This market features rotating vendors ranging from produce and baked goods to fresh flowers and coffee.

South Boston Farmers Market, 446 W. Broadway | Mondays | 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Features: The South Boston market has been in operation since 2002 and features vendors that are all based in Massachusetts.

Jamaica Plain Farmers Market, 677 Centre St., Jamaica Plain | Saturdays + Tuesdays | 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, 2-5 p.m. on Tuesday

  • Features: This local food market that was created in 1984 recommends attendees walk or bike if possible, as parking is limited.
  • Getting there: Near the Orange Line Green Street station

  • Open: Year-round on Saturdays

Note: Check social media for closures due to inclement weather. The Tuesday market takes place June through Thanksgiving.

Davis Square Farmers Market, 44 Day St., Somerville | Wednesdays | 12-6 p.m.

  • Features: Shop over 24 vendors at this long-running market in the parking lot across from the Davis Square Plaza.

Charlesgate Farmers Market, Charlesgate Park at Commonwealth Avenue | Sundays | 11a.m.-2 p.m.

  • Features: This market hosted by the Muddy Water Initiative also features performances from students at the Berklee College of Music.
