A community that plays together, stays together — are we right?
The second annual ANS Back to School backpack giveaway will return to Almont Park in Mattapan on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event, hosted by Altman Nussbaum Shunnarah (ANS) Trial Attorneys, and three-time Super Bowl champion and former Patriots’ long snapper Lonie Paxton, is open to kids of all ages + from all schools.
All students that attend will receive a backpack to prepare for the upcoming school year. The goal is to distribute 1,000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies designed for first through fifth graders. The bags are first come, first served and any unclaimed backpacks will be donated to students at Boston Public Schools.
The family-friendly event will also serve up food (think: hot dogs, burgers, and popcorn) and entertainment with carnival games, basketball, giant Jenga, ping pong, and potato sack racing.
