With countless theater halls + performance spaces, there’s never a shortage of shows to catch around Boston. Here are five theater productions you’ll want to snag tickets for this fall (plus one show coming this winter).

🎭 Come and Gone, Huntington Theater | Oct. 14-Nov. 13
The recently reopened theater is back and better than ever. Celebrate with a performance of August Wilson’s play, which pays tribute to the community that sprang up during the Great Migration.

🎭 Eat Your Young, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre | Now-Oct. 16
Did you know that Boston University hosts brand new works from local playwrights? There are still four chances left to see the show about four teens taking a wilderness therapy program together. Pro tip: There’s a Pride Night on Fri., Oct. 14, where LGBTQ+ guests can attend for a discounted price.

🎭 English, Speakeasy Stage Company | Oct. 21-Nov. 19
The winner of the 2022 Lucille Lortel Award for "Outstanding Play,” this show tells the story of Marjan, an English teacher in Iran who is working to prepare her students to take an exam on the English language.

🎭 Six the Musical, Emerson Colonial Theatre | Nov. 9-Dec. 31
Divorced, beheaded, died — watch the six wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix history and tell their stories in this hybrid musical comedy + pop concert.

🎭 Life of Pi, American Repertory Theater | Dec. 4-Jan. 29
The Harvard performance venue will host the North American premiere of “Life of Pi” this winter. Based on the novel by Yann Martel, the play follows sixteen-year-old Pi, who is stranded on a lifeboat with four fellow survivors — including a Royal Bengal tiger.

Don’t close the curtain yet. Honorable mentions go to “Drumfolk” at ArtsEmerson, “Roe” at Footlight Club + “The Chinese Lady” at Central Square Theater.
