The city is coming together this weekend to honor the 10-year anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Here are five of the volunteer opportunities + community gatherings scheduled for Saturday, April 15.

Kindness in the Park | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Christopher Columbus Park, 100 Atlantic Ave. | The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park are hosting a community walk along 200 pots of daffodils — which symbolize resilience — under the iconic trellis. Plus, pick up a free kindness bracelet at the organization’s table.

Franklin Park Community Cleanup | 10 a.m.-1 p.m. | Franklin Park Playstead, Pierpont Road | Sign up to join the Mayor’s Youth Council and Office of Civic Organizing and help beautify Boston’s largest green space.

Stepping Strong Blood Drive and Demonstrations | 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | City Hall Plaza, 1 City Hall Sq. and Copley Square Park, 560 Boylston St. | The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation will host a blood drive + demonstrations on how to help someone suffering from traumatic blood loss.

Donation Drive | 12-6 p.m. | Downtown Boston BID, 12 Summer St. | The downtown nonprofit will collect new and unused clothing and toiletries (think: underwear, coats, toothpaste, and hair brushes) for the New England Center and Home for Veterans.

Senior Socials | 9-11 a.m. | Multiple locations | The City’s Equity and Inclusion Cabinet, Disabilities Commission + Age Strong are seeking volunteers to socialize with local seniors in Dorchester and the South End.
