You’re just in luck if you are craving a pint of Guinness and a modern twist on traditional Irish cuisines. The Dubliner is now open in the former location of The Kinsale Irish Pub and serving up views + bites across from City Hall.

What to expect?

Once you walk in you’ll see a lively pub-style bar + beer garden (think: grabbing a drink or two after work). Take a seat at the dark stained bar, admire the custom glass work, and enjoy a drink with over 60 premium whiskeys to sample and a bar staff that boasts the “perfect pour” of Guinness.

If you’re looking to sit down for a meal, there is a more reserved dining room that features vaulted ceilings, a rock facade, cozy leather booths, and full-length windows that open to the plaza.

Looking for a more private dining experience? Check out Arthur’s Lounge — which was named after Arthur Guinness, the Irish entrepreneur and brewer of Guinness beer — located off the bar area and perfect for large dinner parties.

Pro tip: don’t miss the bright green phone booth to really step into a European experience.

What to order?

Take a bite out of fresh in-house Irish soda bread, the Irish arancini, or the spread at the traditional Sunday roast. Don’t skip on the cold smoked salmon or the scotch egg. Expect the menu to change with the seasons.

Of course, there are New England staples on the menu, including an Irish-inspired lobster roll, served on the Irish soda bread with lemon mayonnaise and scallions + an Irish seafood chowder.

Sip on one of the signature cocktails, including a Dubliner, which is an Irish take on a Manhattan, or an espresso martini.

What’s an Irish pub without live music? The Dubliner will feature live music on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The team is currently accepting booking requests, so if you are a musician or know of a band that would be a good fit, email the team.

Head over to 2 Center Plaza to sip a brew or two for yourself.
