Down Under Yoga Studio + Life Alive Organic Cafe are teaming up to bring a Wellness Collaborative to 505 Tremont St. in the South End.

The new location is scheduled to open Tues., May 17, following the opening of a Harvard Square space in March.

Tell me more about these businesses.

🙏 Down Under School of Yoga has been around since 2004 + offers all the major styles of yoga, meditation, fitness, and Ayurveda. In addition to the two new wellness spaces, the school has studios in Brookline, Porter Square, and Newton.

🍽️ Life Alive Organic Cafe was also founded in 2004, with a similar wellness mission. The vegetarian eatery serves up plant-based meals prepared in scratch kitchens. Find their other cafes in Back Bay, Brookline, and Cambridge’s Central Square, plus locations in Salem and Lowell.

What will be in the South End space?

  • Two yoga and meditation studios with showers, a locker room, and a massage room
  • Indoor seating for 35 people and a 60-seat patio area
  • An open kitchen, beverage bar + welcoming workspace

  • Wellness lattes with house-made coconut creme

You may have seen a wellness latte or two on your Instagram feed before — it’s hard to miss the vibrant iced ocean blue, made with blue-green algae, maca, vanilla, maple + sea salt.

Whether you’re an experienced yogi, beginning your wellness journey, or just want to enjoy a nourishing organic meal, mark your calendar for the official opening one week from today. We hear there will even be free classes and smoothies available from Fri., May 20-Sun., May 22.

Once open, yoga classes will be offered from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and the cafe will be open from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
