Boston is a “rise and grind” city. Residents awake to the screeching of the T and don’t rest until the last Dunkin’ shutters, but every so often, it’s nice to rise...and relax.

For hustling Bostonians in need of a midweek reprieve, Breve Spa offers a rejuvenating oasis. Located within the halls of the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, a few hours at this spa will restore balance in your body and mind — and help you feel refreshed enough to tackle anything.

What we tried:

We booked a mid-week spa appointment for two of Breve’s signature treatments: A Hydrafacial and a 60-minute Breve Spa massage (plus, all services include sound therapy treatment). The Hydrafacial left my skin feeling buttery and supple, restoring it after weeks of feeling parched from the crisp onset of fall. The massage proved to be the perfect followup treatment, as I melted into layers of lavender oil to the soothing sound of tuning forks, creating an all-senses approach to restoration.

Melt into layers of luxury during a signature massage, which incorporates sound therapy and aromatic oils into each soothing session.

What not to miss:

In between treatments, head to the relaxation room, a cozy, gently-lit area where guests can soak in the serenity and enjoy a few snacks. As my skin absorbed the effects of the Hydrafacial, I was content to lounge in my robe with a complimentary glass of champagne and an assortment of treats, like chocolate-covered espresso beans and yogurt-covered pretzels.

What we’re still talking about:

Normally, a guest might have to pay extra for touches like access to a dry sauna and the sacred privacy of being one of the only guests in the spa. But my midweek appointment was naturally low-key — you might even have the sauna and relaxation room to yourself. The pampering continues at home, as you unpack self-care goodies from a complimentary gift bag.

Shelves and a circular table displaying colorful products on sale in the spa's shop, next to a well-dressed mannequin.

After your treatments, find new skincare and hair products to try at home in the spa’s well-stocked shop.
