In the third concert in a series exploring complex social issues, guest conductor Giancarlo Guerrero will lead American composer Julia Wolfe’s “Her Story,” featuring the Lorelei Ensemble women’s vocal group.
Originally commissioned to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in the US, the piece explores the continuing struggle for women’s rights, invoking the words of historical figures like Abigail Adams and Sojourner Truth.
