In their quest to find the best pie in the US, Good Morning America visited Quincy Market yesterday for a showdown between two local bakeries.

Sweet Teez Bakery in Dorchester showed off their sweet potato pie. The creamy pie includes cinnamon and vanilla with a flaky crust.

Petsi Pies challenged with their Mississippi Mud Pie, made for the chocolate lovers and featuring a chocolate bourbon mixture topped with fudgy brownies and a chocolate ganache.

Guest judges included local restaurant owner Ming Tsai, former Patriots cornerback Ty Law, and former Red Sox player Manny Delcarmen. They sent Somerville’s Petsi Pies on to the finals.

Tune in Friday morning to see if the Somerville bakery will win the United States of Pie competition.
