It should come as no surprise that Boston was named one of the “Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker” in MovieMaker Magazine. The magazine lauded our photogenic city for its festival scene, sales tax-exemption, and iconic film locations. What can we say? The camera loves Beantown.

No wonder so many films and television shows have been shot here, including:

  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” | The show-stopping bridge scene was shot here.
  • Knives Out” | You may recognize Ames Mansion (located in Borderland State Park) as the reclusive mystery author’s estate.
  • Good Will Hunting” | You don’t need us to tell you that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon shot this Boston-centric film here, but it would feel wrong not to include it.

Do you have a favorite film set in Boston? Let us know.
