Hey Bostonians, Jess + Sara here. Between the two of us, we get the privilege of sharing local news, events, and conversations with readers in Boston, daily — here, and on our socials.

After three-ish months of bringing you BOStoday, we thought we should formally introduce ourselves. Consider this us going in for a fist bump, then switching to a handshake, then settling on a hug.

Meet Jess ☀️🌮

Q: If you could only write about one Boston-specific topic for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: This is tough because there is so much to share about Boston. If I had to pick just one, I would go with history. I loved learning about the Great Molasses Flood — if you have an idea of a topic we should talk about next, let us know.

Q: What were the last 3 things you did around town?

A: You might catch the BOStoday City Editors around Boston while we work to bring you the daily newsletter. Last week, I took a hard hat first look at the new Frida Kahlo exhibit coming soon, grabbed coffee from Cafenation, and sipped an Encanto-inspired cocktail from Back Bar in Somerville.

Q: What are your tips for parking downtown on a weekend night?

A: Don’t. Just take the T. There are plenty of public transit options so you don’t have to fight the traffic, worry about icy roads, or bang a risky Uey.

Meet Sara ☕📚

Q: If you were taking someone on a tour around Boston, where are the three places you’re going?

A: I’d start in the Beacon Hill area to snap some pictures of Acorn Street and explore all of the local boutiques (Blackstones is one of my favorites). I’m also a big bookworm, so a stop at Trident Booksellers & Cafe on Newbury Street is a must. I’d top off the tour at the Boston Public Library courtyard, one of the most picturesque spots in the city.

Q: If you could only write about one Boston-specific topic for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: Definitely the food scene. I love how each Boston neighborhood has their own culinary vibe — from fresh pasta plates in the North End to the great Vietnamese restaurants in Dorchester.

Q: Describe Boston’s personality in three words.

A: Resilient. Charismatic. Creative.
