More Than Words is becoming more than a local bookstore and advocacy organization. The nonprofit is adding four wheels to the team and launching a mobile bookstore to hit the road this summer.

The truck has been outfitted to hold up to 2,000 books and will travel to schools, parades, and other community events. The cozy interior measures ~130 sqft and can accommodate four adult shoppers comfortably, with a maximum of eight at one time. The truck uses solar panels to provide lighting, air conditioning + heating.

The mobile bookstore schedule will be available on the events calendar and plans to kick off the service with Roxbury Community Week at the beginning of June.

Interested in bringing this pop-up bookshop to your neighborhood? The shop is booking festivals, private parties, and corporate events now.

No need to wait to add to your to-be-read pile. Visit the brick-and-mortar locations of More Than Words to support the mission to provide job training and empowerment at the youth-run businesses in Boston.
