A local celebrity will be recognized for her tireless work ethic, customer service acumen, and love of belly rubs.

Fairmont Copley Plaza’s Canine Ambassador, Cori Copley, will appear on national TV alongside the Queen of Country herself. “Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala” will air on CBS tonight, Feb. 21 from 9 to 11 p.m, co-hosted by Jane Lynch.

Cori’s working “9 to 5"

Fairmont Copley Plaza began its Canine Ambassador program in 2004 with Catie Copley. Her friendliness with kids inspired children’s books, as well as “Catie Copley Day.”

Cori Copley, now the hotel’s third Canine Ambassador, has served in her role since 2019. You can spot her in the hotel’s plaza, around the community, and on Instagram.

The hotel’s love of dogs doesn’t stop with its staff: it’s completely dog-friendly, and its “Fairmont Furiend” package provides four-legged guests with treats, Cori-themed merch, and a guide to local dog-friendly spots.

Hard work pays off

“Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala” will spotlight doggy fashion, with a runway show featuring looks from Dolly’s “Doggy Parton” line. Plus, look forward to performances and appearances from big-name celebrities like Drew Barrymore and Neil Patrick Harris.

Cori will appear in a video segment about working dogs, where she will be honored as “Hardest Working Dog,” with video of her work around the local hotel.

If you were hoping to see the two celebrities together in-person — well, you may just have to wait until Dolly makes her way to Boston.
