4 Hike Boston events this fall

The daytime hiking series will return with four hikes through October.

The daytime hiking series Hike Boston will return this fall.

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will host the guided group hikes and interpretive programs. Each hike offers an opportunity to explore new spaces and deepen residents’ connections with their favorite parks. Bonus: A few of these events will take place during peak fall foliage .

Every hike will begin at 10 a.m. and hikers should plan for some unpaved paths by bringing sturdy footwear. The events are subject to weather changes.

  • Friday, Oct. 6 | Allandale Woods, 19 VFW Pkwy., West Roxbury
  • Wednesday, Oct. 11 | Olmsted Park, 217 Jamaicaway, Jamaica Plain
  • Friday, Oct. 13 | Sherrin Woods, Hyde Park
