Boston’s only public rooftop pool opens for the season

💧 RTP is making a splash before Memorial Day weekend. Here’s what to know about lounging poolside at the Back Bay hotel.

It’s almost time to take a refreshing dip 12 stories above Back Bay.

Boston’s only rooftop pool with public access opens for the 2024 season on Friday, May 24. RTP at The Colonnade Hotel will be open to non-hotel guests Mondays through Thursdays, plus Sundays after 1 p.m., for a $55 fee. Keep in mind: The pool is 21+ after 5 p.m.

Relax in a chaise lounge or rent a private cabana. Complimentary ice water and towels are included for all guests. Bonus: There are also free sunscreen dispensers, courtesy of Impact Melanoma.

The poolside food menu features shareable apps, flatbreads, and a variety of sandwiches. There are also lobster rolls for the perfect summer bite. Plus, sip drinks like the “Rooftop Buzz” or a frosé.

RTP operates on a first come, first served basis. Read: You’ll want to arrive early to secure a spot.
