Not seeing “Pretty Woman: The Musical” when it comes to Boston later this month? Big mistake. Huge.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’re sharing all the details readers need to know to catch one of the most beloved rom-coms of all time in musical form.

With a powerhouse creative team led by two-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell (“Hairspray,” “Kinky Boots,” “Legally Blonde”), “Pretty Woman: The Musical” features an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams (think: “Summer of ’69”) and Jim Vallance. The best part? The musical’s book (read: the script) comes from the film’s legendary director, Garry Marshall, and screenwriter J. F. Lawton.

BuzzFeed News raves, “If you love the movie, you’ll love the musical.” If Richard Gere and Julia Roberts’ onscreen chemistry has swept you off your feet since the ‘90s, get ready to fall in love all over again experiencing the stage version.

“Pretty Woman” opens Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Emerson Colonial Theatre and will run through Sunday, March 3. Tickets start at $45 and are available online. Accessibility note: Signed and audio description performances are happening on Thursday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, March 2.
