To celebrate Drink Up Month this July, we brewed up a little challenge for beer-loving Bostonians. It involves supporting local businesses and sipping craft brews, so you know it’s gonna be good.

The BOStoday Brewery Passport officially launches tomorrow, July 1 — and it’s the perfect reason to plan a month full of sipping local suds.

Readers who visit the below breweries + complete our digital passport will be entered to win one of two gift baskets, comprised of merchandise from participating businesses. Think: Hats, stickers, glassware, gift cards, and more. Each gift basket has a ~$100 value.

How to complete the challenge

  • Make plans to sip at all five breweries by the end of July.
  • Take a picture at each location for proof of your visit. This can be a quick snap of your beer, a photo of the entrance, or a selfie with your brewer buddies.
  • Once you’ve sipped at all five spots, fill out this form and submit photos from each visit.
  • Submissions must be sent by 10 p.m. on Monday, July 31. We will alert the two gift basket winners by Friday, Aug. 4.

Pro tip: You can visit any location of these breweries (yes, beer gardens and pop-ups count). You aren’t limited to beer, either — seltzers, non-alcoholic beverages, and any other drinks you can order are all on the table.

Tag us in your social media posts with the hashtags #BOStoday and #DrinkUpMonth so we can see your progress. We’ll be sippin’ and sharing brewery photos all month long, too.

Bonus: If you’re thirsty for more beer content, we’ll be serving up our guide to Boston breweries soon.
