This Saturday, April 29, is the 10th annual Independent Bookstore Day — a chance to celebrate local bookstores + discover new reads.

Here are four local festivities to check out.

Brookline Booksmith | 279 Harvard St., Brookline | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Visit Coolidge Corner to try out the photo booth and reel in a surprise read with “book fishing.”

All She Wrote Books | 452 Artisan Way, Somerville | 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. | Shop 10% off the Assembly Row store + receive a tote bag with a “book surprise” for purchases over $100.

Molly’s Bookstore | 667-669 Main St., Melrose | 2-5 p.m. | Celebrate with face-painting, ice cream sandwiches, and books from local authors.

Trident Booksellers & Cafe | 338 Newbury St. | 8 a.m.-10 p.m. | The Back Bay store will host giveaways and sell exclusive merch all day — stick around to decorate a “TBR” jar at 7 p.m.
