TIME released the second annual list of the Top 100 Most Influential Companies yesterday, featuring leaders in health care, entertainment, technology + other sectors. Several of the award-winning companies are based right here in the Boston area.

  • Did you know that the major pharmaceutical company is headquartered in Cambridge? TIME gave a nod to Moderna’s choice not to enforce the patent on its COVID-19 vaccine in 92 countries currently receiving the shots, allowing for global production + wide-scale access.

Modulate, Cambridge

  • This local company created ToxMod, the world’s first proactive voice moderation solution to detect hate speech and verbal abuse. ToxMod is already in use for major gaming titles like Rec Room. Modulate’s co-founder said the company’s goal is to make video gaming safer + more inclusive.
