Hanukkah begins at sundown on Sunday, Dec. 18. Dreidels will be spun, menorahs will be lit, and the community will come together. Here are opportunities to gather and celebrate the Festival of Lights.
🕯️ Lighting Up Copley will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 to celebrate lighting the tallest and largest menorah in New England. Community leaders will join the Central Synagogue Boston for a performance from the Solomon Schechter Day School Choir + a Berklee Music Ensemble. Pro tip: Don’t miss the Fire Truck Chocolate Gelt (coin) Drop.
🕯️ Join Chabad of Downtown Boston for the menorah lighting ceremony at One Seaport on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. Attendees can also enjoy Hanukkah treats.
Bonus: JArts will host a celebration tonight from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Museum of Fine Arts. The museum will be open for pay-what-you-wish general admission (minimum $5) starting at 5 p.m. and the café will serve potato latkes with chive crème fraiche + applesauce.
