Good morning, BOS — new voice here. My name is Ryan Johnston and I am the CEO of 6AM City, the parent company and publisher of BOStoday. First, thank you for waking up with us every morning and looking to our City Editors, Jessica and Sara, to help you start your day and get excited about everything BOS has to offer.
We launched BOStoday on Nov. 15, 2021 and we couldn’t be more thrilled at how this city has taken to us. We now wake up with 60,821 readers and reach 5,617 people via social media — a big step up from day one.
We built this product based on both reader and advertiser demand. Readers like you were looking for a quick and convenient way to find everything in one place — focused on all things positive and written in a way that is digestible — and (in an effort to keep our product 100% free to readers) we work with advertisers who want to connect with readers like you.
We have a number of different opportunities to advertise directly in this newsletter — find out more by clicking on the link below.

The City of Cambridge is breathing new life into a 132-year-old industrial space.
The building at 101 Rogers St. is now officially “The Foundry,” a center of creativity + collaboration in the Kendall Square neighborhood.
Here’s what we know about the space so far:
The building is 50,000 sqft.
Common areas include a cafe, community hall + Jukebox for a story sharing project.
Visitors can reservemaker spaces, specialty spaces (think: cooking classes and performances), and multi-purpose rooms for meetings.
Memberships are available to the maker spaces or art studios.
Community members can volunteer to help with the welcome desk, mentoring young people + setting up for special events.
Mark your calendar for the opening celebration from Sat., Oct. 8-Mon., Oct. 10 for the chance to shape future Foundry programming.
THE WRAP
Today’s issue was written by City Editor Sara.
Editor’s pick: I was reading this list of 14 iconic Boston dishes from the team at Eater, and it made me hungry for our readers’ opinions.
What do you think is the quintessential Boston food? Mike’s Pastry cannoli, lobster rolls, or something less obvious? Let me know.
