It’s about time more folks jumped on the Chris Evans appreciation train. Here are five fast facts to know about People’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive.
  1. The actor grew up in Sudbury, which is ~22 miles outside of Boston. His dad was a dentist + his mom was involved in a local youth theater.
  2. Over his 20+ year acting career, he has played numerous roles, including a few superheroes. First he played the Human Torch in the “Fantastic Four,” then took on the role of Marvel’s Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) in “The Avengers” + voiced Buzz in the recent Pixar movie “Lightyear.”
  3. He likes to show off his tap dancing skills, like during this interview.
  4. His uncle Mike Capuano is a former Mayor of Somerville and US Representative who now teaches at Boston University.

  • SubRosa is the first culinary pop-up at the South End speakeasy Wink & Nod. This is Chef Louis DiBiccari’s return, five years after closing Tavern Road in 2017. SubRosa offers Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes like smoked salmon paté, goyza, and crudo. (Boston Magazine)

  • Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC broke ground on a six-story, 384-unit apartment building in Everett at 85 Boston St. The Maxwell will feature a yoga studio, co-working space, dog park, and a pool. Construction is expected to be completed by the spring of 2025. (Boston Business Journal)

  • Brato Brewhouse and Kitchen in Brighton has closed its doors permanently as of Sunday, Nov. 6. The owners released an update on Instagram and shared that Brato had reached a point in which it was no longer a financially viable endeavor. 🍻
  • Three Walgreens locations will close this week in Boston, making accessing pharmacies more difficult for residents in Roxbury, Mattapan and Hyde Park. These pharmacies plan to transfer patient information to other locations, which are at least a mile away. (CBS Boston)

  • A report by Harvard University’s Harvard Forest is raising concerns about deforestation in New England. The region is currently losing 28,000 acres each year. Trees are helping to absorb greenhouse gas emissions and additional conservation efforts can help reduce more than 27 million tons of emissions annually. 🌳 (Boston Globe)

  • The Cambridge City Council passed a new traffic policy this week banning right turns at red lights. The new practice aims to improve pedestrian safety and reduce traffic-related injuries. 🚗 (Mass Live)

  • David Ortiz has released his second cannabis product under his brand Papi Cannabis called Moonshot. The new vape cartridge line is available at three Revolutionary Clinics dispensaries in Cambridge and Somerville. (Boston Business Journal)

  • Three scientists from MGH have created a new startup and secured $30 million to continue its work taking active compounds from natural products (think: plants and mushrooms) + developing new pharmaceutical options.
