‘Tis the season to transform Seaport into Snowport. Visit the seasonal pop-up for gifts, games, festive art, and plenty of surprises around this one-stop wonderland today through Dec. 31.

💡 Check out the tree lighting on Seaport Common Friday, Dec. 2 during Light Up Seaport. Expect a sing-a-long or two with live holiday tunes + a special celebrity appearance from Betty the Yeti. There will also be a Menorah Lighting Celebration Sunday, Dec. 22 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Mayor Wu announced a new campaign to support residents facing food insecurity during the holiday season and year-round — Find Your Food Pantry. Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 15, residents will be able to apply and learn more about SNAP benefits using a kiosk located within Boston City Hall.

Coming Soon

Park-9 Dog Bar has shared plans to open a 5,000 sqft indoor dog park + full-service bar in 2023. The bar will be located in Everett at 24 Elm Way and include indoor and outdoor off-leash areas. Follow along for updates. 🐶 (NBC10)

Development

Boston University shared its master plan — totaling over $1 billion — for the next 10 years. The plan outlines multiple large scale projects, including renovations to the Mugar Memorial Library, creating a 16-story Science and Engineering research building, a new 11-story building for the Pardee School of Global Studies, and a new 11-story student residence hall. Closing

The owners of Darwin’s Ltd. will be closing all four locations of the popular Cambridge coffee shop permanently. The Harvard Square location is expected to close first on Tuesday, Nov. 22 and the remaining locations will be closed by Sunday, Dec. 25. ☕ (Cambridge Day)

Luxembourg-based UFODrive has launched a new service for daily car rentals. The service works like Zipcar, but offers luxury and climate friendly vehicles (think: Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3).
