Today is Veterans Day, a federal holiday commemorating people who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Expect various closures related to the holiday, and check out these deals + events for veterans across the city.

Free meals:

  • Tuscan Kitchen | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | 64 Seaport Blvd. | Reservations encouraged | Veterans and their families are invited to enjoy a family style meal.
  • Rosa Mexicano | 11:30 a.m.-11p.m. | 155 Seaport Blvd. | Veterans and active-duty service members can enjoy a complimentary Mexican meal.
  • Legal Sea Foods | Times vary by location | Veterans receive a complimentary cup of clam chowder.

🍻 Sam Salutes Beer Release | 12-8 p.m. | Samuel Adams Boston Brewery, 30 Germania St. | Price of purchase | Veteran-owned Code 1 BBQ will be serving up sliders from 5 to 8 p.m. and donations will be collected for the New England Center and Home for Vets to create Welcome Home Kits.

👟 Veterans Day Challenge | 8 a.m. | Harvard University Stadium, 75 N. Harvard St. | $15 | The Harvard Undergraduate Veterans Organization is hosting its 2nd Annual Veterans Day charity event, challenging community members to take on all 37 sections of the historic stadium.

🎵 Veterans Day Ceremonies and Dinner Dance | 5-8 p.m. | 61 Lucia Ave., Revere | $20 | All Veterans, citizens, and friends are invited to attend the buffet dinner and enjoy live music.
