Summer weather forecast for Boston
Boston’s summer weather forecast almost makes us want to take a dip in the Charles. Almost. | Photo by @travelikealocalma
The National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center has shared its summer weather outlook. According to the forecasters, Boston could be in for a scorcha or two over the next few months.
Plus, Accuweather predicted that our city will see between 14 and 18 days that reach 90 degrees — for context, the average is 15 days. This would still be cooler than last year, when Boston recorded 21 days of 90 degree temperatures during a wicked hot summer.
As far as rain goes, it’s anyone’s guess. The weather service saw an equal chance of above-normal, below-normal, and normal precipitation for New England.
From this week’s sunny weather to the forecast for the rest of the summer, I’m thinking it’s time to book a Boston Harbor cruise or two.
I recently learned about Tiki Boat Boston, a new local company that offers a morning mai tai cruise — sounds like a pretty perfect way to start your day.
