You won’t get a view like this at Gillette. A new exhibition on Bruce Springsteen is coming to Boston next month, bringing 40-plus portraits of “The Boss” to the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame.
“Bruce Springsteen: Portraits of an American Music Icon” will open on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Hall of Fame, which is located inside the Boch Center Wang Theatre.
The exhibition will retrace Springsteen’s “Glory Days” through the intimate lens of music photographers who documented every phase of his career, including Danny Clinch, Ed Gallucci, Eric Meola, Barry Schneier, Pamela Springsteen, and Frank Stefanko. Interviews from over the decades will accompany the portraits, offering a “unique perspective of Bruce Springsteen away from the sold-out arenas,” according to the Hall of Fame’s website.
Public tours are on sale now for $25 per person ($17 for children ages 5-15), although die-hard fans might be interested in arranging a private tour, which can accommodate up to 30 people.
The exhibition will arrive right after Springsteen and The E Street Band return to Massachusetts for two concerts at Gillette Stadium. After postponing a pair of Philadelphia shows earlier this month due to an illness, the group is on schedule to perform in Foxborough on Thursday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 26. They will be Springsteen’s second and third local shows of the year, following a sold-out performance at TD Garden in March.

Oh shucks — the most legendary restaurants list
Union Oyster House named one of the world’s most legendary restaurants

Boston’s Union Oyster House has seafood known ‘round the world. The historic landmark is one of the most legendary restaurants across the globe, according to a new report from Taste Atlas.
Thanks to its classic clam chowder and ye olde New England decor, Union Oyster House nabbed the No. 43 spot on the list of 150 world-renowned establishments. The distinction comes as no surprise, seeing that it’s the oldest continuously-running restaurant in the country. Founded in 1826, the eatery and tavern brims with history, from its role in the American revolution, to the “Kennedy Booth” that honors John F. Kennedy’s frequent visits.
The restaurant is the only New England entry in the report, although 13 other restaurants rep the US, including Katz’s Delicatessan in New York City, which snagged the No. 2 spot.
