  • Tradesman is planning to open a new location in Kenmore Square, according to a licensing board hearing page. The 760-sqft coffee shop will feature a takeout counter for coffee + those signature croissants and pastries at 684 Beacon St. (Boston Restaurant Talk)
Award
  • New England native Noah Kahan received his first-ever Grammy nomination. The “Northern Attitude” artist is up for the Best New Artist. Tune in on Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. to see who wins.
Environment
  • A team at Brown University has drilled holes 1,000 ft into the ground to install test wells at three locations across campus in a geothermal energy experiment to heat some school buildings. The project is part of an effort to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. (Boston Globe)
Concert
  • This is the good part — AJR will make a tour stop at TD Garden on Thursday, April 4. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 17.
Closing
  • Bone Up Brewing will close its doors at the end of the year. The Everett team has no plans to move to a new location currently and will be pouring drafts until Dec. 31. Keep an eye out for auction details for taproom art, decor, furniture, and other brewery items.
