Officials and residents broke ground on a memorial for those who died in the Cocoanut Grove nightclub fire. The memorial at Statler Park will honor the anniversary of a fire that killed 490 people in 1942. It’s expected to be officially installed in September of 2024. (7 News)

The City of Boston announced new electricity rates through the Community Choice Electricity program, which is projected to help residents save ~$15 per month. The new rates will be in effect beginning December 2023 through December 2025 for customers to choose BCCE as their electricity supplier.
