Every book lover has been there. You’ve just finished the latest installation of your favorite series or you’ve hit a major plot point in that bestseller — and you have no one to talk to about it. Enter these 10+ book clubs.

Book Club for the Curious

Hosted by the Museum of Science, this one is for those who love to read about science and technology. It meets every second Thursday and requires no admission fee with registration.

This month’s book is “Her Space, Her Time: How Trailblazing Women Scientists Decoded the Hidden Universe” by Shohini Ghose.

Not Your Bubbe’s Book Club

Hosted by the Boston Synagogue, this monthly book club discusses recs from the Jewish Book Council’s list of hottest new reads. It’s B-Y-O book — but wine is provided.

PSB Book Club

This monthly book club reads mostly contemporary fiction (think: “Crying in H Mart” by Michelle Zauner).

This month, the PSB Book Club is reading “This Is Happiness” by Niall Williams. RSVP online.

Lamplighter Brewery

This one is for beer and book lovers alike. Join Lamplighter Brewery and the Cambridge Public Library every other month to read contemporary works from marginalized voices.

This month, the club is reading “Airplane Mode: An Irreverent History of Travel” by Shahnaz Habib. Register online.

Queer Book Club

This monthly club at Brookline Booksmith discusses LGBTQ+ authors and stories. Meetings are typically on the first Monday of the month and sometimes meet via Zoom. Registration is not required, but check the events page for updates.
