From attending festive parades to cooking up corned beef and cabbage, there are many ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Boston. If you’re looking to spend the day by grabbing a pint (or two) at a local pub we know a few spots to explore.

The Black Rose, 16 State St.
The Faneuil Hall landmark has been serving up Guinness and traditional Irish fare daily since 1976 — no wonder it’s dubbed the “Fenway Park of Irish Pubs.”

Mr. Dooley’s, 77 Broad St.
With down to earth hospitality in the heart of the Financial District, Dooley’s opened its doors in 1991 and has since become the place to meet for a pint and a chat. This cozy pub has no TVs, so you can fully immerse yourself in the live music + hearty pub food.

Order a drink and toasty (a toasted ham and cheese sandwich) and make yourself right at home at this decades-old Brighton establishment.
J.J. Foley’s Cafe, 117 East Berkley St.
Family-owned and operated since 1909, the Foley family offers a wide range of food, beer, wine + spirits. It’s known as the oldest Irish pub in our city.

Craft Food Halls will open its 10th Boston area location on Thursday, March 21at the Studio Allston Hotel, at 1234 Soldiers Field Rd. This new 8,000-sqft space will feature events, live music, a self-serve beer wall, and the first sous vide options in a food hall. (Boston Business Journal)

The 2024 Greenway Food Truck Program will return on Monday, April 1. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for the lineup including 25 vendors, nine new food trucks + over 10 cuisines.
Concert
The Sting 3.0 Tour is coming to MGM Music Hall at Fenway on Friday, Oct. 4. Expect Sting on vocals and bass, Dominic Miller slaying the guitar, and Chris Maas on the drums. Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 15.

To celebrate Independent Bookstore Day, Molly’s Bookstore is hosting a short story contest. The winners will have a chance to read their story at the bookstore; Molly’s will make copies of the winner’s work free and available in the store.
