  • The Bruins play Game One of their conference semifinals against the Florida Panthers tonight after dispatching the Maple Leafs, 2-1, on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Celtics also advanced and will kick off their round two match up against the Cleveland Cavaliers at TD Garden tomorrow, May 7. Tickets are still available.

  • The South End Business Alliance’s South End Spring Stroll is coming up on Wednesday, May 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. With 70+ local businesses and restaurants participating, visitors can shop for Mother’s Day presents and enjoy eatery specials.
Transit
  • Downtown Crossing isn’t the busiest MBTA train station in Boston any longer. Based on an analysis of the T’s card swipes, traffic in that area was down 56% last year compared to five years prior. Findings show South Station has been the busiest station for the past two years. (Boston Business Journal)

  • Several hotels in Boston made Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards’ Best of the Best Hotels list. Each category included 25 accommodations that made the grade. For the US, in the Top category rankings, The Whitney Hotel placed at No. 24. The Verb Hotel grabbed the No. 4 spot for pet-friendly hotels.

  • Toca Chida is now open in Somerville’s Assembly Row. Run by the same restaurant group behind Papagayo, this eatery in its former space has Mexican, Latin American, Caribbean, and Asian cuisines on the menu. Tableside guacamole service is also returning, with potential expansion to ceviche and nachos. (Boston.com)

OpenTable released its latest list of the Top 100 Brunch Restaurants in America based on diner reviews. Judging by the menus, these latest faves in the Boston area are worth a visit.
