The next time you can head to America’s Most Beloved Ballpark for a Fenway Frank is Tuesday, July 9 when the Sox take on the Oakland A’s. If the Fourth of July makes you want a hot dog real bad, then keep reading for a few local recommendations + prices.

Sullivan’s Castle Island, 2080 William J. Day Blvd.
This Southie staple will serve up classic hot dogs on a toasted roll for $3.15.

Trina’s Starlite Lounge, 3 Beacon St., Somerville
Switch up the traditional toppings and ask for the hot dog of the day. This Somerville spot also has corndogs for $7, and the Starlite Style Dog, topped with cheese, fries, coleslaw, and starlite aioli for $9.

Lone Star Taco Bar, 479 Cambridge St., Allston + 635 Cambridge St., Cambridge
This tex-mex eatery takes a hot dog and tops it with refried beans, cheese, roasted salsa, chipotle mustard, and crema. This Mexican dog goes for $8.50.

Gordon Ramsay Burger, 99 Blackstone St.
Order up a standard dawg with onion, mustard, ketchup + bread and butter pickles for $11 or try the chipotle dawg topped with cheddar, avocado, chipotle ketchup, fresno chiles, jalapeño, and pepper relish for $13.

Stephanie’s on Newbury, 190 Newbury St.
Looking to splurge on a hot dog? Then head to Back Bay to try the wagyu beef dog topped with chopped red onion, mustard, and relish for a whopping $21.

The Silhouette Lounge, 200 Brighton Ave.
Not only can you snag hot dogs at this neighborhood bar, if you get a Silhouette tattoo you can score free hot dogs for life.

Traffic
  • AAA’s traffic forecast for June 29-July 7 is anticipating 70+ million drivers, which would set a record for the holiday. Locally, AAA says the worst traffic on July 4 will be on Route 3 heading towards the Cape — and to expect the most congestion around 1:45 p.m. (7 News)

  • $125.9 million. That’s the amount outlined in the four-year contract extension for Celtics guard Derrick White. White will return next year and make ~$145.4 million over the next five seasons. (CBS Sports)

Legacy
  • Orlando Cepeda, the Hall of Famer nicknamed “Baby Bull,” has died at 86. Cepeda was called to the Red Sox in December of 1972 and would be the team’s first designated hitter. (Boston.com)
