Boston leaders proposed a $110 million appropriation to seed the city’s Housing Accelerator Fund, meant to provide low-cost financing to help developers jump-start approved projects. Shake (Shack) on a plane. Beginning Sunday, Dec. 1, Delta Airlines customers flying first class out of Boston on routes over 900 miles can pre-order a Shake Shack cheeseburger as their in-flight meal option. Boston’s SPACE grant program — which helps small businesses open their new or next storefront in major commercial districts — announced its next round of 32 awardees receiving a combined $2.87 million in funding. Legacy
Wellesley resident Herlda Senhouse — the oldest resident of Massachusetts — died on Nov. 16 at the age of 113. Known for her “big-person energy,” Senhouse co-founded the Clique Club, a charity that helped Black students pay for college. Her memorial service is on Saturday, Dec. 21, in West Newton.
