From Heartbreak Hill to record-breaking times, the Boston Marathon once again served up sweat, smiles, and some seriously fast feet. Missed the in-person event this year? Here’s a short recap + some photos from the sidelines.
Men’s winner: John Korir - 2 hours, 4 minutes, and 45 seconds
John’s brother Wesley Korir also won the Boston Marathon in 2012, making the duo the first siblings to win the Boston Marathon.
Coming up on a second-place win last year, Lodeki beat the course record for women this year by more than two minutes.
Longest consecutive finish streaks: Michigan’s Mark Bauman and California’s Patty Hung completed their 56th and 39th consecutive Boston Marathons, respectively, extending the longest consecutive finish streaks in Boston Marathon history.

All’Antico Vinaio, a popular sandwich shop from Florence, Italy, is planning an opening in Copley Square next to the Chick-fil-A. The eatery is known for its focaccia sandwiches made with fresh cheeses and high quality Italian deli meats. You can check out their creations on Instagram, but you’ll leave hungry.
