What if we had a WNBA team?

Is Boston ready for a WNBA team of its own? Gov. Healey thinks so + City Council adopted a resolution earlier this month, which was put forward by Councillors Brian J. Worrell (district 4), Sharon Durkan (district 8), and Ruthzee Louijeune (at-large).

Google Trends reports show that searches for “Boston WNBA” have been increasing periodically since mid-2023 — so, this begs some questions: Can Boston handle another fandom? And what would a new WNBA franchise look like?

What would the name be? The mascot? Which coach would you go after? Help build our city’s dream team and we’ll follow up soon with the results.

Asked

Which coach would we poach?

  • Michael Carter-Williams, former NBA point guard
  • Joanna Bernabei-McNamee, Boston College
  • Cheryl Reeve, Minnesota Lynx
  • Geno Auriemma, University of Connecticutt

How do you follow a record-setting year? By getting stronger.

Take Pacaso. Their real estate co-ownership tech set records in Paris and London in 2024. No surprise. Coldwell Banker says 40% of wealthy Americans plan to buy abroad within a year, so Pacaso’s planned Italy expansion is big.

They’ve already made $110 million+ in gross profits to date, including 41% YoY growth last year. (They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.) And you can invest for $2.90/share.
