Are you ready fore this news? Puttshack officially opens the new two-floor, 26,000 sqft space today.
We took a first swing at the mini golf experience last week — here’s everything you need to know before you putt around at the Seaport.
How it works
First things first: there won’t be pencils and papers to track your scores. Puttshack uses its signature “trackball” technology to follow players’ golf balls and project scores on digital screens throughout each of the four nine-hole courses.
This mini golf setup is more interactive than you’re likely used to. Expect to answer local trivia questions (think: the year that Fenway Park opened) or play a hybrid game of mini golf and beer pong by hitting the ball into large solo cups.
What’s on the menu
You won’t go hungry once you’ve finished your game. There’s a large menu of globally inspired eats + a killer cocktail menu to boot.
City Editor Jess recommends the chorizo and cheese empanadas, and City Editor Sara was loving the Boston Tailpipes (lobster mac n’ cheese spring rolls).
Plus, don’t skip the Smokin’ Painkiller, which comes in a smoke-filled treasure chest. You can also sip local beers and ciders from Night Shift Brewing, Jack’s Abby + Downeast Cider.
What else to know
- Drink service will be available while you’re on the course + there are multiple table setups so you don’t have to hold your drink while you swing.
- Make sure you don’t hit your golf ball until the light goes green on the circular sensor. This will ensure your score gets recorded.
- There will be live tunes provided by local DJs, plus some special guest DJs on site tonight through Friday night.
Take your shot at 58 Pier 4 Blvd., located at The Superette development + book a reservation here.
