Today marks opening day at Fenway Park, and even though it’s the historic park’s 110th season, the Red Sox have plenty of new things in store.

To kick off the first home series, the Red Sox are planning to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day (today) + David Ortiz being inducted to the Hall of Fame later this season on Sun., July 24. Additionally, the Sox will wear the No. 2 patch all season to remember the late Jerry Remy.

The Sox have added two new seating sections in right field — the Bleacher Overlook (aka the Truly Terrace) and 521 Overlook. The Bleacher Overlook includes 8,800 sqft stool seating with a drink rail + 521 Overlook has a private entrance and deck over the 7,600 sqft.

Fenway also announced they are going carbon neutral and will purchase carbon credits (to help neutralize greenhouse emissions) with a portion of ticket revenue. As far as ticket prices go, don’t worry, they won’t be affected.

While we wait for Plant Pub to open outside the stadium, inside the park spectators can enjoy Sal’s Pizza, which is now the official pizza of the Sox. All concession stands in the ballpark will now only accept cashless payments.

If you’re looking for a beer + quick bite outside the park, check out some of these Fenway staples.
