Let’s make some noise for the Bay State’s food scene.

The competition is heating up for the 2023 James Beard Awards — three local eateries have advanced to the foodie award’s finalists list.

🍽️ Krasi
Valentine Howell, chef of this chic Greek eatery in Back Bay, is up for Best Chef in the Northeast. Visit to try traditional dishes like Tsipoura (grilled sea bream) and sip from the extensive Greek wine list.

🍽️ Yunnan Kitchen
Our other local Best Chef nominee is Yisha Siu. The Chinese restaurant, located in the South End, serves Dian (or Yunnan) cuisine like boiled pork in chili oil and lemongrass tilapia.

🍽️ Nightshade Noodle Bar
Rachel Miller, the force behind this Lynn noodle spot, is an Outstanding Chef finalist. Take a ~30-minute drive from Boston to sample from the 14 available Vietnamese and French-inspired tasting menus.

Stay tuned to see who’s named restaurant royalty at the Monday, June 5 awards ceremony.
