“Be the Change” is an art and activism initiative that was produced by the Jewish Arts Collaborative .
Six new pop-up art installations are now on display in The Fenway . The large-scale public artworks all address a social justice issue + each artist has partnered with community organizations.
Meet the six Massachusetts-based artists + the projects:
- Caron Tabb is working with the Anti Defamation League of New England for her piece, “Prisoner a-7713.”
- Jason Talbot has partnered with Artists For Humanity + Boston Music Project for his project, “Our Family Tree.”
- Caro Lyn’s project “Vital Organs” addresses environmental justice topics like the City of Boston Tree Canopy plans .
- Ngoc-Tran Vu is working with Me2/Orchestra + Connecting Vietnam on “Healing Garden.”
- Nayana created “Zoongide’e” in partnership with Mass NOW + National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center .
- Sam Mendoza Fraiman is working with Boston GLASS to start a conversationn around transgender rights with the project “It’s Giving.”
The exhibit will be on view around the neighborhood until Wed., Oct. 26.
