The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will host the 114th annual convention in Boston for the next seven days.

The NAACP Convention is an immersive experience held each year to celebrate the community’s collective power and exchange ideas. This year’s theme is “thriving together” and here’s what you need to know to make the most of the convention.

The event begins today, July 26 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (415 Summer St.) and the agenda is packed with panels, keynotes, and workshops through Tuesday, Aug. 1.

Some familiar faces will be in our city to speak at the event, including Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, and rapper Meek Mill. Plus, don’t miss the HUB Block Party on Friday + GospelFest on Sunday.

Most of the events are free and open to the public, double check the full schedule.
