And the bracket winner is… George Howell Coffee , voted best coffee shop in Boston by our readers and social media followers in our BOStoday coffee shop bracket.

The local biz is named for George Howell , a pioneer in bringing the specialty coffee industry to the US and Boston. The brand was established in 2004 when it opened its roastery in Acton, and has since made a splash on the local coffee scene. You can find shops at The Godfrey in Downtown Crossing, inside Boston Public Market, and in Newtonville.

We want to extend a major “thank you” to all of you for participating in our bracket challenge the past few weeks. We’ve had a blast seeing how the votes shook out, and we hope you did too.
