National Burger Day is Sunday, May 28. To celebrate, we’re highlighting a few local favorites to help you build your own Boston burger bucket list.

There are four locations of the Boston Burger Company, each offering a wide variety of options and plenty of toppings, plus impressive shakes for those who have a sweet tooth.

For the Cambridge residents, check out the open-faced burgers from Charlie’s Kitchen and the Harvard Square landmark Mr. Bartley’s, featuring burgers named after celebrities .

City Editor Jess’ favorites in town are the Bonetown Burgers food truck and Lifted Restaurant’s classic Double Double burger.
