Boston is a “rise and grind” city. Residents awake to the screeching of the T and don’t rest until the last Dunkin’ shutters, but every so often, it’s nice to rise...and relax.

For hustling Bostonians in need of a midweek reprieve, Breve Spa offers a rejuvenating oasis. Located within the halls of the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, a few hours at this spa will restore balance in your body and mind — and help you feel refreshed enough to tackle anything.

What we tried:

We booked a mid-week spa appointment for two of Breve’s signature treatments: A Hydrafacial and a 60-minute Breve Spa massage (plus, all services include sound therapy treatment). The Hydrafacial left my skin feeling buttery and supple, restoring it after weeks of feeling parched from the crisp onset of fall. The massage proved to be the perfect followup treatment, as I melted into layers of lavender oil to the soothing sound of tuning forks, creating an all-senses approach to restoration.

Answered

Last month we asked “What’s your favorite genre of music to see live?” and here’s what you said:

The marquee of the Paradise Rock Club, which reads "Bayside - sold out"

The Paradise Rock Club has remained one of the city’s most important venues for over 40 years.

It looks like we’re in the midst of a rock crowd, with 65% of readers selecting “rock/alternative” as their favorite genre to see live.

The remaining genres had roughly the same amount of fans, with 10% of participants citing pop as their top pick, another 10% choosing hip-hop, and 6% opting for country.

To the 8% of folks who said they don’t go to concerts, we hope our monthly Plan Ahead lists can tempt you to make some room on your schedule for a show.

As for the folk option, which drew 0% of the votes, we ask: Where are all the Noah Kahan fans hiding?
