Holiday markets
The Holiday Market at Snowport
Beginning on Friday, Nov. 10, there will be snow place like the Snowport to shop for the holidays. The Seaport pop-up market features over 120 makers, a tree market, food stations, and a custom cocktail bar from Tuscan Kitchen. Plus, plenty of festive decor, including a mistletoe arch and winter wish wall.
SoWa Winter Festival
The SoWa Power Station transforms into a winter wonderland from Friday, Nov. 24-Sunday, Dec. 17 with hundreds of local vendors, including makers, artists, designers, and specialty food vendors. Plan a trip to 550 Harrison Ave. and don’t skip a visit to the second floor for live music and entertainment.
Harvard Square Holiday Fair
One of the oldest and most popular fairs in the area, this event will pop up for two weekends and feature a mix of craftspeople, original gifts, music, and community. Visit Brattle Square on Friday, Dec. 15-Sunday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 21-Saturday, Dec. 23 to shop and support local vendors.

Researcher Dr. Max Chapnick has identified 14 unattributed works believed to be written by Louisa May Alcott (aka the author of “Little Women”) under the name E. H. Gould. Alcott was known to publish under a pseudonym throughout her career and this batch contains the first undiscovered works since the 1940s. (WBUR)
