Here’s a little sunshine for you, Boston: Annie The Musical is returning to Boston’s Boch Center Wang Theatre.
Little Orphan Annie has reminded generations of theatergoers that sunshine is always right around the corner. From Tuesday, Feb. 6-Sunday, Feb. 11, one of the best-loved musicals of all time is set to return in a new production — just as you remember it.
“Annie”, directed by Jenn Thompson, features the iconic book and score, written by Tony Award®-winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse + Martin Charnin.
No need to make things so complicated — Avril Lavinge will bring “The Greatest Hits Tour” To Xfinity Center on Saturday, Aug. 24 with Simple Plan and Girlfriends. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m.

Massachusetts General Hospital has reported a capacity disaster, with an average of 49 patients waiting for a bed every day for fiscal year 2023. The hospital’s request to the state to add 94 more beds was denied. (Boston Business Journal)

A Dorchester couple has made their HGTV debut with the new home show “Battle on the Mountain.” David and Stephen St. Russell — aka “Renovation Husbands” — will compete on the six-episode series that follows three teams as they work to upgrade mountainside homes using a $100,000 budget. (WBUR)

Brandeis University has opened a new art exhibit that will focus on reproductive rights. Titled “Deeply Rooted: Faith in Reproductive Justice,” the gallery was curated by artist Caron Tabb and features 21 artists across a variety of materials, including ceramics and paintings. The exhibit runs through Thursday, Feb. 1. (7 News)

We knew there were a lot of talented photographers in Boston, but you all have truly outdone yourselves. You all submitted 168+ photos for our 2023 Picture of the Year contest and — we must admit — narrowing it down to just six finalists was tough.
