After each championship win, Boston players head to Disney the Southie Gillette Headquarters for a celebratory shave off.
This year, three Celtics players enjoyed a champion-worthy shave from Boston barbershop chain Title City Barbershop.
During the shave, Derrick White answered questions about chipping his tooth during Game 5 of the finals and shared how he kept his head in the game. Al Horford shared his favorite moments since winning the championship and reflected on how long it had been since he last won a championship title. Payton Pritchard discussed that stunning half court shot and his plans for the summer, including his upcoming wedding in August.
When I was singing along to “One Week” and “Alright” at Fenway on Friday night, I noticed the Pru was also celebrating the Celtics parade day with bright green lights and the number 18. It made me wonder who is behind making the windows light up with Go C’s and 18.
Just in time — local reporter Matt Shearer got to chat with the team that makes the Pru messages.
