The Skywalk Observatory at the Prudential Center is becoming View Boston, a revamped three-floor observation deck offering 360-degree views of the city.

Opening sometime next year, the Boston Properties project will feature immersive exhibits that put visitors in the driver’s seat.Think: customized itineraries of what to do in the city based on your travel interests, thanks to a collaboration with the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.

You might remember the previous tenant that sat atop The Pru — Top of the Hub — which closed in 2020 after 54 years in business.

We can look forward to looking down from the building’s first-ever outdoor spaces, a bistro on the 50th floor + a cocktail lounge on the 51st floor.
