Get ready to put the pedal to the metal this month, Boston. May is Bay State Bike Month and there’s plenty of ways to get involved all month long.

🚲 Bike Seaport Weekly Bike Check-Ups | Wed., May 4-Wed., May 25 | 7:30-11:30 a.m. | Seaport Common, 85 Northern Ave. | Free | Complimentary bike check-ups every Wednesday with treats from local businesses — registration required.
🚲 Cleaner Greener Quincy | Sat., May 7 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. | Billings Creek Salt Marsh Trail, Airport Rd. and Saratoga St., Quincy | Free | To bike there, meet up at Hancock Adams Common at Quincy City Hall for an 8:45 a.m. departure.

🚲 Boston’s National Bike to Work Day Festival | Fri., May 20 | 7-9 a.m. | 10 Summer St. | Free | Register to enjoy coffee and get a 2022 Bike to Work Day t-shirt.
🚲 Jamaica Plain Pancake Breakfast | Fri., May 27 | 7-9 a.m. | Ferris Wheels Bike Shop, 66 South St., Jamaica Plain | Free | Stop by for pancakes, juice, and friendly chats with fellow cyclists.
If you’re not able to attend one of these events there are also Bike Month Challenges, including Ride Tracking Challenges, social media challenges + the Carry It With You Challenge, which is happening now through Sun., May 15 and the winner will receive a basket from Nantucket Bike Basket Co.
