Winter is the perfect time to cozy up with a good book, or six.

The Boston Public Library is issuing a challenge to all the Boston bookworms out there: read one book each by authors from six geographic regions, from Africa to Europe.

If you check all the books off the reading list by Feb. 28, you will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card to a local indie bookstore .

Pro tip: Visit your nearest BPL branch to pick up a reading log and track your books as you go.

Plus, mark your calendar for the in-person kickoff event at the Central Library in Copley Square on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m., complete with reading recommendations + complimentary cider.
