Cider season has finally arrived. Here are four local spots to indulge in the sweet treat, in both donut + drink form.

Downeast Cider , 256 Marginal St.

  • If the return of the cider donut flavor isn’t enough to entice you, maybe the classic pumpkin cider will do the trick. Whichever you prefer, the East Boston taproom and pop-up bar is well worth a visit.

Artifact Cider Project , 483 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge

  • The Central Square cidery offers 14 drinks on tap, from fan favorites to rotating seasonal selections. Plus, the business hosts a rotating food vendor (currently Mimi’s Chūka Diner ).

Union Square Donuts, Multiple locations

  • Cider donuts are back on the menu. Visit at the Boston Public Market, Time Out Market in Fenway, Brookline, or Somerville (Assembly Row + Union Square).

Red Apple Farm at Boston Public Market, 100 Hanover St.

  • Head to Haymarket for these classic mini cider donuts, served warm straight out of the “donut robot.”
